DUMPING UNRWA: ISRAEL’S OVERDUE DECISION

It is about time.  In fact it is way past about time.

Israel has told the United Nations – which hates Israel with a passion regardless of what the Jewish State does -that it will no longer put up with the United Nations Relief and Work Agency (UNRWA).

The UNRWA, you might recall,  is comprised of those nice folks who, when they are not overseeing the “schools” where Palestinian Arab children are taught Jews are the spawn of monkeys and pigs, and the greatest honor they can achieve is to die killing Jews, are actively working with hamas to get in on the Jew-killing personally.

From Lazar Berman’s article for The Times Of Israel:

The Foreign Ministry on Monday officially informed the United Nations that Israel is withdrawing from the 1967 agreement recognizing the Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA after the Knesset passed legislation to severely limit the operations of the agency in Israel and in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Foreign Ministry Director-General Jacob Blitshtein sent the letter to UN General Assembly President Philemon Yang of Cameroon, informing him that “Israel will continue to work with international partners, including other United Nations agencies, to ensure the facilitation of humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza in a way that does not undermine Israel’s security. Israel expects the United Nations to contribute to and cooperate in this effort.”

Last week, the Knesset passed a bill banning UNRWA from operating from Israeli territory and prohibiting Israeli government agencies from working with UNRWA. The bill takes effect in three months.

“UNRWA — the organization whose employees participated in the October 7th massacre and many of whose employees are Hamas operatives — is part of the problem in the Gaza Strip and not part of the solution,” Foreign Minister Israel Katz said. “The UN was presented with endless evidence about Hamas operatives working at UNRWA and about the use of UNRWA facilities for terror purposes and nothing was done about it.”

There you go.  Israel has told the UNRWA to get lost.

Now, what is the UN going to do about it?  Condemn Israel?

If so, who cares – the UN has already made condemning Israel one of the only things it actually is effective at.

To illustrate: there are 195 countries in the world.  Most are impoverished.  Most are unfree.  Most have few if any protections for minority populations.  Most have court systems that would be laughable if they weren’t so tragically biased against/damaging to so many human beings.

Yet, with the above in mind, here is how the UN operates.   According to the latest data:

-Over the last 19 years (From 2006 to 2024) the UN Human Rights Council has adopted 178 resolutions condemning countries around the world.  108 of them – 61% – have been against Israel and 70 have been against all the other 194 countries combined

-And over the last 10 years (from 2015 to 2024) the UN General Assembly adopted 228 resolutions condemning countries around the world.  164 of them – 72% – have been against Israel and 84 against all the 194 other countries combined.

Get the picture?

So allow me to congratulate Israel on its dumping of the UNRWA.  Too bad it still has to deal with the rest of this disgusting excuse for an international organization.
