….for their “victory” in defeating a resolution of disapproval for the nuclear “deal.
A total of 58 senators voted for the resolution of disapproval. And 42 senators – all Democrats – voted against.
But passage required 60 votes. So a resolution of disapproval that was supported by a large majority of the U.S. Senate can be tossed aside.
This means a “deal” that the polls show this country does not want – the latest poll shows 21% support it – and which the United States Senate does not want – 42% support it – will now be put in place anyway.
This “victory” sickens me to the core. And should sicken you too.
I hope the senators who sincerely believe this is a good “deal” wake up to reality someday.
And I hope the senators who voted for this impossibly stupid “deal” which empowers Iran and endangers us all, for purely political reasons, pay a heavy price for doing so on their next election day.
