COMEY’S CONCLUSIONS

Hillary Clinton, I am certain, will now gloatingly claim that she has been “cleared”, “exonerated”, etc. etc. etc. of all charges in the email scandal.

Has she?

FBI Director James Comey is recommending no charges be brought…which, I assure you, Loretta Lynch will be happy to abide by.

But he also said that Hillary Clinton’s claim that no classified information passed through her server while Secretary of State was not true.

And he also said there was an excellent likelihood that, due to the (astonishing level of) carelessness in protecting her server, “hostile actors” very likely had access to her email server.

In other words, the finding is that she’s a liar and put our secrets out for our enemies to see for four years…but a prosecutor can’t prove it was done intentionally….

…and the fact that the law says it doesn’t have to be intentional for an indictment to be issued, tells us that if you are a Clinton you are not subject to the same rules as everyone else.

That’s some helluvan “exoneration”.

You have to wonder whether Director Comey, assuming Loretta Lynch wasn’t about to indict Hillary Clinton, decided to give her the out…but, in doing so, make good and sure every lie of Clinton’s was fully exposed for all the world to see.

  • The law was written so that it could be used or not used selectively. By making the standard “grossly negligent” instead of just “negligent” it leaves the charging of a crime or even a conviction up to the interpretation of what is “grossly negligent”. Whether this was done on purpose or by accident will only be known if they rewrite that part of the law to be clear or leave it vague like it is. My guess would be that they won’t change a thing.

    • free – as I mentioned in an earlier blog….I suspect that Comey, knowing there was no way the obviously compromised Loretta Lynch would ever indict Hillary Clinton, worded his statement in a way that tore any pretense of her being honest or credible to shreds — and made it clear that this established one set of rules for Clinton and another for everyone else. Exoneration is about the last thing she got from him. And, as I’ve also asked, how can she possibly have security clearance now? And, without it, how can she possibly be President?
