Yesterday President Obama made a speech in which he unilaterally declared a form of amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.

Here is CNN\’s headline and sub-head for this story:

When George W. Bush couldn\’t get an immigration overhaul through the Senate, he gave up. When Barack Obama couldn\’t get a bill passed, he changed the rules.

The one thing CNN got right is that this is a tale of two Presidents. Congratulations to them.

Then we have the rest:

-George Bush did not “give up”.  He – correctly – waited for congress to act because it was not within his presidential authority to unilaterally make up the rules as he went along.  That is called respect for the constitution;

-The White House did not “quit waiting for House to act”.  The house was just elected – every member – less than three weeks ago, along with one-third of the Senate, and has not even been sworn in yet.

Moreover, the Senate changed from Democrat control to Republican control, which means the Republican-majority House will, obviously, be more able to work with it than with the serial obstructionist Majority Leader Harry Reid running the show. 

Simply put, Mr. Obama did not quit waiting for this new configuration to come up with legislation, he decided his Presidential diktat superseded congressional authority, so he didn\’t have to give it any chance at all;

-President Obama did not change the rules, he ignored the rules.  Over two dozen videos have surfaced (with more to come I am certain) in which he himself said this action was illegal and unconstitutional….and he did it anyway. 

But does any of this matter?  Evidently not to CNN. 

To read CNN\’s headline/sub-head, you would think President Bush was a quitter, incapable of getting anything done, and President Obama was a doer, who waited and waited for congress and then implemented new rules, which he was legally following……….none of which is true.

Thank you, CNN, for showing exactly how Accomplice Media works.  It is far from the only example, but thank you for making it so unmistakably plain for us. 

I\’m sure President Obama and his people are enormously appreciative.  And, though every recent poll shows the American people are decisively opposed to your unconstitutional usurpation of power, who cares?  They\’re too stupid to bother with anyway, right?
