ARE “CLIMATE DENIERS” “AGAINST SCIENCE”?

Yesterday was Earth Day.

And in cities around the country, people marched in the streets to demand that “climate deniers” shut their pie holes and keep the “global warming” – or is it “climate change” (this seems to vary by whatever the temperature is outside in a given week) grants coming.

I’m not going to belabor the fact – and it IS a fact – that a good many scientists are skeptical of “climate change”, or commend them for their bravery in putting their careers on the line to express their honest opinons about it.

What I will do is put up the following excerpt from John Hinderaker’s excellent commentary on this subject:

To a remarkable degree, liberal media pretended, at least, to take seriously the “marches for science.” (As though the marchers’ political opponents were against science, whatever that might mean.) I spent most of the morning in the gym, and for an hour or so CNN featured visuals of the marches with a legend across the screen that said, “Climate deniers persist despite evidence.”

Probably no one at CNN knows anything about the global warming debate. Possibly people at CNN are so clueless that they seriously believe that “climate deniers,” or “climate change deniers,” exist. They obviously have no idea what the evidence about the Earth’s climate actually shows, i.e., that the alarmists’ models are wrong.

Other than that last sentence (the fact that “climate change” promoters happily ignore contrary evidence does not mean they don’t have evidence of their own), Mr. Hinderaker, as usual, hits the nail on the head.

When CNN, and so many other media venues, decide to cast their lot with the same single side of a two-sided story, there’s no need to pay much attention to the other side.  And that is what we have had for years.

Fact is, the methane gas that is created when cows fart (and burp) may well contribute more to “global warming” than anything humankind has done – so much so that, last year, California actually enacted legislation to limit its occurrence (I swear i’m not making this up – click here to see for yourself).

An I a “climate denier”?  Nope. I see both sides of this. I’m just not a “one side of the story” advocate.

A 2,500 or so year old interpretation of Genesis yields the saying (paraphrased from its original text) that “in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king”.

Too bad that, these days, when it comes to “climate change”,  all too often the two-eyed person is banned from the kingdom.

  • the main problem with the “climate change” promoters data is that it has been shown to be faked and manipulated. and it wasnt by accident.
