Excerpted from S. A. Miller\’s article at the Washington Times:
President Obama\’s long-stalled nominee for attorney general, Loretta Lynch, has refused to commit to investigating former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton\’s email secrecy scandal if confirmed as America\’s top cop.
“In my current role as the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, my awareness of this issue has been limited to media reports and therefore, I do not have enough information at this time to determine whether action by the Department of Justice is warranted,” wrote Mrs. Lynch.
Mrs. Clinton, who entered the 2016 presidential race this week as the undisputed frontrunner for her Democratic nomination, may have violated federal open-records laws by using private email hosted by a server in her home, which she wiped clean of all but select emails amid the scandal.
Note to Ms. Lynch: when there are charges, and you “do not have enough information” about something that the person in question has admitted doing – i.e. wiping her server clean of all emails from the four years she was Secretary Of State – that is when you do have an investigation.
During this elongated vetting process, Loretta Lynch has not answered questions about almost any area she would be likely to address as Attorney General, and now she won\’t even commit to an investigation about this.
She is either the single most ignorant person ever to be considered for Attorney General, or someone determined not to tell us anything about how she would comport herself in this position.
Which of those two would cause a U.S. Senator to vote for her?
Loretta Lynch should not be confirmed as Attorney General.
