Are you as fascinated as I am by mainstream media making it seem as though Republicans are being forced/shamed, presumably against their will, to support taking down the confederate flag in South Carolina?
The truth is, that flag was hoisted over the Capital Dome in 1962 (it was moved to a different location on the state grounds in 2000), at the behest of then-Governor Ernest “Fritz” Hollings and with the approval of South Carolina\’s legislature.
Oh, did I mention that Hollings, and a preponderance of the legislature, were Democrats?
That\’s right. Not Republicans. Democrats.
