A RACIST CALLING A NON-RACIST SITUATION RACIST

Having read the title of this blog, you probably are assuming there\’s an excellent chance it refers to President Obama\’s disgraceful toady and racist sock-puppet, Attorney General eric holder.

Is so, you are correct.

Excerpted from Justin Sink\’s article at thehill.com:

AttorneyGeneral Eric Holder said Sunday he and President Obama have beentargets of “a racial animus” by some of the administration\’spolitical opponents.

“There\’sa certain level of vehemence, it seems to me, that\’s directed at me[and] directed at the president,” Holder toldABC. “You know, people talking about taking their country back…. There\’s a certain racial component to this for some people. Idon\’t think this is the thing that is a main driver, but for somethere\’s a racial animus.”

“We\’vemade lots of progress,” he said. “I sit here as the firstAfrican-American attorney general, serving the first African-Americanpresident of the United States. And that has to show that we havemade a great deal of progress.”

Healso stood by his controversial comments made during Obama\’s firstyear in office, in which he said the U.S. was a “nation of cowards”when it comes to race.

“Iwouldn\’t walk away from that speech,” Holder said. “I think weare still a nation that is too afraid to confront racial issues,”rarely engaging “one another across the color line [to] talk aboutracial issues.”

Theattorney general also pointed to Republican efforts to enact strictervoter ID laws in southern States as evidence that more needed to bedone to protect minority rights.

“I\’mattorney general of the United States. … I will not allow people totake away that which people gave their lives to give, and that is theability for the American people to vote,” Holder said.

It\’s hard to know where to begin.

Let\’s start with the fact that holder is using an old (and often successful) strategy:  he is accusing others of what he himself is doing.

holder is the Attorney General  who would not convict racist, militant members of the new black panther party for intimidating voters during the 2008 election, even though there were eyewitness accounts, video and photographs of their activities, and the racist militants involved did not even bother to fight the charges – possibly assuming that someone like holder would never allow them to pay for what they did.

Then there were reports that holder instructed the Justice Department to pursue racial discrimination charges only if they were filed on behalf of minorities, and ignore those filed by Caucasians.

There\’s plenty more, but those two should be enough to establish what eric holder is.

So we have a racist Attorney General, running a Justice Department which has been compromised by his racism, now injecting racism into why so many people have turned against Barack Obama.

Racism certainly exists.  It always has and I have no hope that it will cease to exist in my lifetime.  But the reason that so many people have turned against Barack Obama is not racism, it is the failures of his administration and its policies.

The week Barack Obama became President, Gallup had his approval rating at 69% vs. 13% disapproval.  Today that same poll has him at 42% approval vs. 53% disapproval – a negative swing of 67% (from +56% to -11%).  Since President Obama is no more or less Black now than he was then, I conclude that the reason for this falloff is not race-related.

holder also tells us, as he has before, that we are a nation of cowards because we don\’t talk racial issues (as if you\’ve never heard or engaged in any dialogue about race).  That is ridiculous on its face, no matter what color the face is.

And, as an extra-added attraction, he tells us that voter ID laws are racist too – despite the fact that they are strongly supported by the country, including a majority of Black citizens. Want proof?  Ok:  look at this 2012 poll, when the issue first became a hot issue, and this one from last month, after two years of the public constantly being told Voter ID was unnecessary and racist).  You\’ll find a majority of Black support for voter ID in both of them.

eric holder makes me sick to my stomach.  And the media which have given him more free passes than any Attorney General on either side of the aisle has ever come close to getting, deserve every bit as much of the blame as he does.

My congratulations to them:  holder could never possibly have done this without their complicity.  That\’s quite an achievement.  How proud they must be.
