Chicago has what arguably are the strictest gun control laws of any city in the United States
This past weekend, 5 Chicago residents were killed and 12 wounded by guns.
To date Chicago has had 399 fatal shootings and 2301 non-fatal, for a total of 2,700.
My question: How many of these 2,700 fatal and non-fatal shootings were by legal gun owners – i.e. gun owners who gave a damn about obeying gun laws.
The answer to that question is the answer to what I think of stricter and stricter gun control laws as a deterrent to gun violence.
