A QUICK OPINION ON WHY PRESIDENT TRUMP SAYS THE IRAN MILITARY ACTION IS OVER

President Trump, and Secretary of State Rubio, are both saying that the military action in Iran is over.

Why?

Here’s my guess.  It is that if the military action is over, but then military action starts again, the War Powers Act – which allows the President 60 days before he needs congressional approval – also starts over again.

In other words, if Trump decides there is no use in trying to bargain with Iran (a very definite probability), he will have another 60 days to act before he has to worry about congressional approval.

Am I right?  Can’t say for sure, of course.  But that certainly is the way it looks to me.

How about you?
