Is Hillary Clinton fighting an uphill battle against a media determined to “get” her?
Stopped laughing yet?
Once you do, please read this remarkable exchange between MSNBC’s Joy Ann Reid and a bemused – maybe amazed – Chris Matthews:
REID: “She has run essentially for the last 20 years against — with the media in her face, right? She has run against the wind, against the tide of coverage. I think Vox.com just published a piece that showed she and Trump get the most negative media coverage onslaught for something like 30 years she’s survived. She’s gotten I think over 10 million votes. I think it’s hard to argue she’s not popular.”
MATTHEWS: “You think the media’s prejudiced? You think the media is biased against Hillary Clinton?”
REID: “I think the media has a very negative relationship with Hillary Clinton and has done for 30-plus years.”
So, in the mind, such as it is, of Joy Ann Reid, Hillary Clinton is besieged by the media? She is but a poor, beleaguered soul; a victim of their virulent anti-Hillary bias?
Hooboy….
In answer to Ms. Reid, and anyone who believes her, I will now offer this link, to a venue that – unlike mainstream media – Ms. Reid would be correct about when it comes to anti-Hillary Clinton feelings: worldnetdaily.com
Click on it and see a laundry list – a dirty-laundry list – of 22 Hillary scandals.
As you read them, think about how many you look at and say “oh yeah, I forgot about that”. Then think about how that could be, if media were all over Ms. Clinton.
And then think about how little media attention there has been to these scandals in this election year, when candidates would expect every nanosecond of their careers to be gone over with a fine tooth comb.
Then tell me if this under-the-radar treatment is being accorded anyone else.
No, Ms. Reid, Hillary Clinton is not besieged. She is bequeathed. As in bequeathed with 30 years of media protection by the same media you accuse of beating up on her.
Other than unconditional Hillary lovers…and maybe not even all of them…who do you think believes you?
