In case there is anyone left who is unaware of Donald Trump\’s surreal ego level, here are a couple of quotes from his interview last Sunday with ABC\’s Jake Tapper:
“I like to be good. I don\’t like to have to ask forforgiveness. And I am good. I don\’t do a lot of things that are bad. I try todo nothing that is bad.”
“I am not sure I have (ever asked God for forgiveness). “I just go on and try to do a betterjob from there. I don\’t think so. I think if I dosomething wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don\’t bring God intothat picture. I don\’t.”
If Donald Trump were saying he does not believe in God, that would be one thing. But he is not.
Trump claims to be a believer. But he just doesn\’t think God is necessary; God doesn\’t bring anything more than what he could come up with himself…which, it would seem, means that Trump believes he is no less than God\’s equal. Maybe even more.
I can think of about a dozen adjectives to describe that attitude…none of which would be very pleasing to God or Trump.
Feel free to come up with your own.
