Did Israel take out a significant element of Iran’s supposedly peaceful nuclear program (if you believe that you believe in unicorns and the toothie fairy)?
It seems probable that the answer is yes.

The Israeli attack on Iran in late October destroyed an active top secret nuclear weapons research facility in Parchin, according to three U.S. officials, one current Israeli official and one former Israeli official.
Why it matters: The strike — which targeted a site previously reported to be inactive — significantly damaged Iran’s effort over the past year to resume nuclear weapons research, Israeli and U.S. officials said.
- One former Israeli official briefed on the strike said it destroyed sophisticated equipment used to design the plastic explosives that surround uranium in a nuclear device and are needed to detonate it.
- Iran has denied it is pursuing nuclear weapons. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in a statement last week that “Iran is not after nuclear weapons, period.”
- The Iranian mission to the UN declined to comment for this story.
- The incoming Trump administration will include several key national security and foreign policy officials who are hawkish on Iran, which could lead to increased U.S. pressure on the Islamic Republic.
Iran’s leadership (if you can call it that) lies. It lies about everything. There is never a reason to believe a thing any of them, from “Supreme Leader” khamenei on down. So you can bet your bottom dollar this bunch lies about its nuclear intentions.
If Israel pushed Iran back in its nuclear program the free world owes it an enormous debt of gratitude.
And let’s never forget that the reason Iran has been able to pursue its nuclear aims is that upon taking office, Joe Biden largely undid the sanctions Donald Trump had imposed, then released something like ten billion dollars n Iranian assets that Trump had frozen….thus enabling Iran to financially support and train its “three h” proxies (hamas, hezbollah, the houthis) as they work to annihilate Israel and kill every Jew.
But now that Donald Trump is coming back to the presidency, you can count on those sanctions to be reimposed; even further stiffened if Trump is able to do so.
If that plays out as described, the world owes him an enormous debt of gratitude as well…
…along with a sigh of relief that Kamala Harris and her Vice Presidential pick, Tim Walz – neither of whom seems to give a damn about Israel – have lost the election.
