Today’s paragraph comes to us from the always-worth-reading John Hinderaker, at powerlineblog.com.
Mr. Hinderaker’s latest commentary skewers the joke of a “Special Counsel”, all-political-all-the-time jack smith, for trying to prevent Donald Trump from presenting evidence regarding his belief that the 2020 election was compromised, on the grounds that it is “disinformation” (the special counsel, you see, decides what the party he is going after should and should not be allowed to present in a court of law; the judiciary has nothing to do with it).
After thoroughly ridiculing smith’s overtly partisan performance – 100% justified if you’re asking me – Hinderaker says this (the bold print is mine):
Did the absurdly loose rules that governed the 2020 election enable enough illegal votes to swing one or more states? No one knows. While post-election lawsuits were thrown out on procedural grounds in a number of states, there is no state where the substantive issue of voter fraud’s effect on the election has been litigated. And, given the difficulty of detecting fraud when all safeguards have been removed, it probably can’t be.
I wish I were unable to award John Hinderaker Paragraph Of The Day honors for stating this so accurately. But that is not the case. His accuracy is spot-on. Not just the above paragaph but the entire commentary (which I urge you to use the above link and read). So the award is his.
Now, what do we do with jack smith?
