Donald Trump has opened that stupid, vicious mouth of his. Again.
This time the stupidity and viciousness is aimed at Carly Fiorina, his fellow Republican (assuming Trump even is a Republican – based on the different things he has said at different times about the same issues who can be sure?)
During an interview in Rolling Stone Magazine Trump said this about Ms. Fiorina:
“Look at that face. Would anyone vote forthat? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president? Imean, she\’s a woman, and I\’m not supposed to say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”
It doesn\’t get more stupid, and more vicious, than that.
And then, when people on both sides of the aisle came down on him, Trump did what he has done in the past: pretended he didn\’t say what he said. Here he is on Fox News this morning:
“Probably I didsay something like that about Carly. “I\’m talking aboutpersona. I\’m not talking about look.”
Yeah, right. How could we ever misconstrue his words so completely?
What this shows is that Trump not only has a stupid, vicious mouth, but he thinks we\’re all a bunch of idiots as well.
I do not make predictions. Not my style – especially not in politics, where anything and everything can happen.
But, for the record:
-I have zero expectation that Donald Trump will win the Republican nomination.-I have full expectation that this is a summer fling – a media induced summer fling (because they are giving him almost all the coverage) based on the fact that Trump, gives blunt opinions in plain language. This is respected, even revered – by many people, even when the things he says are stupid and vicious.-I fully expect that Trump\’s fortunes will fall as the ridiculously large herd of Republican presidential aspirants thins out, and voices other than his get more exposure. For which all Republicans should be very, very thankful.
Hey, here\’s an idea. If I\’m right about Trump, maybe he can eventually team up with Hillary Clinton. They could be like Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly of Chicago: two political has-beens whose time, presidentially speaking, is over and done with.
We\’ll see….
