I know that title is very insulting. But it is no more insulting than what Hillary Clinton told the Associated Press in an interview yesterday.
As reported by (AP competitor) Reuters:
Democratic presidential front-runnerHillary Clinton told the Associated Press in an interview on Monday that shedid not need to apologize for using a private email account and server whilesecretary of state because what she did “was allowed.”
Hillary Clinton spent 8 years in the White House as President Bill Clinton\’s wife. She then spent 8 years in the U.S. Senate and 4 years as Secretary of State. I assume that, during those years, she had a functioning brain.
And, with even a minimal use of that functioning brain, how could she not know that a Secretary Of State ongoingly receives sensitive, classified and top secret materials? How could she not know that these materials would pass through her server – her personal, private, easily hackable server?
Even if she were allowed to use a personal server – something which is very, very much in doubt, let\’s understand – how could she not have realized someone in her position doing so could have disastrous consequences for the country – consequences it is an excellent bet we will be suffering for years to come?
Can Hillary Clinton possibly be stupid enough not to have known this? Can she possibly be arrogant enough to think that saying “well, I was allowed to use my server” in any way addresses the fact that those materials were available to our enemies for her four years as Secretary Of State?
And can we possibly be gullible enough to accept this as an answer, or stupid enough to put the person giving this answer in the White House?
