HILLARY\’S SERVER GUY IS PLEADING THE FIFTH????

In the previous blog I talked about a possible national security disaster of Hillary Clinton\’s making which, if true, would be a huge – probably decisive – disaster for her Presidential candidacy.

Well, this one is not “possible”, it is real.  And its political ramifications could be huge as well.

Excerpted from Carol D. Leonnig and Tom Hamburger\’s article in today\’s Washington Post:

A former State Department staffer who worked on Hillary Rodham Clinton\’s private e-mail server tried this week to fend off a subpoena to testify before Congress, saying he would assert his constitutional right not to answer questions to avoid incriminating himself.

The move by Bryan Pagliano, who had worked on Clinton\’s 2008 presidential campaign before setting up the server in her New York home in 2009, came in a Monday letter from his lawyer to the House panel investigating the 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Are you kidding me?  A Hillary Clinton operative who had direct involvment with her private email server, is pleading the fifth?

For WHAT?  Didn\’t Hillary Clinton assure us there was nothing problematic about those emails?  Didn\’t she assure us that no one did a thing untoward or illegal?

What does it tell you that the guy who set up her server is going to plead the fifth, other than that things were done on, and to, that server which were illegal and he doesn\’t want to go down for them?

And who, other than the most hardline, unconditional, we-don\’t-care-what-she-did-wrong-we-love-her-anyway zombies would understand it as anything else?

Simply stated, there is no good defense for this situation.  There is nothing, absolutely nothing, Hillary Clinton can say that would credibly explain away her server guy hiding behind the fifth amendment.

This already was a campaign in deep trouble.  This could put it on life support.

And those two smiles you see in the distance?  They belong to Bernie Sanders….and Joe Biden.
