Excerpted from Richard Pollock\’s article at dailycaller.com:
Department of State officials refused to identify to a congressional committee the “chain of custody” – the complete list of people who had access to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton\’s private email server, according to The Daily Caller News Foundation\’s investigation.
The request was made last spring by the House Select Committee on Benghazi probing the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in which Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were murdered.
The chain of custody evidence is essential to determining if Clinton or people close to her violated federal laws on handling of classified materials.
To any Hillary Clinton supporter: what possible reason would the Department of State have for refusing to identify the chain of custody, other than preventing the investigation from finding out that people in that department – including Hillary Clinton – may have violated federal laws?
If there were no laws broken, and no one had anything to worry about, the information would have been handed over long before investigators asked for it, so that Ms. Clinton and her people could be exonerated as quickly as possible.
Even an avid Hillary fan should be able to see through this (though I am sure that some won\’t: what an amazing hold she has over some people, that causes them to look the other way at every fact and pretend she is innocent of things they would nail anyone else for without thinking twice about it?)
I\’m starting to think that the only thing inevitable about Hillary Clinton is her eventually cutting a deal to leave the presidential race, in return for a guarantee that she will be let off the hook for this aegean stable-full of lies, and the shame of having to answer for what the emails they uncover will say about her.
It looks more and more likely that her choice will either be to leave, while publicly declaring herself a victim and becoming a sympathetic figure to whomever still believes her, or to continue on as this investigation progresses, in hopes that she can be nominated and elected before it comes to any kind of fruition.
Tick tock tick tock tick tock.
