Of all the disgusting comments….
This afternoon, President Obama made his pitch for the nuclear “deal” to the country – or, more exactly, to congress, which will be voting on whether to approve it. And – incredibly – he compared Iranians who chant “Death to America!” with Republican who oppose the deal.
I swear I am not making this up. Frankly, I wish I was.
His exact words:
“Just because Iranian hardliners chant “Death to America” does not mean that that\’s what all Iranians believe. In fact, it\’s those hardliners that are more satisfied with the status quo. It\’s those hardliners chanting “death to America” who\’ve been most opposed to the deal. They\’re making common cause with the Republican Caucus.”
That\’s right. President Obama, in so many words, equated Republicans who oppose this godawful deal, to Iranians shouting “Death to America”.
That goes beyond disgraceful. It requires an immediate apology. Not a boilerplate “if I offended anyone” BS apology, but a real one.
The kind that we will never hear from Barack Obama – partly because he is an egomaniac, and partly because mainstream media, which would have tried to end the career of any Republican who ever said anything close to that about Democrats, will almost certainly let him get away with it.
If the last 6 1/2 years of pathetic butt-kissing is any indication, there may – may – be some criticism, maybe one day or two days\’ worth at the most. And then they will move on.
If President Obama can say this and get away with it, he can say anything. And those 6 1/2 years of unprofessional, no-integrity fawning adoration suggest that he probably will.
Oh, one other thing, Mr. President. There are DEMOCRATS who oppose this deal also. Funny how you specifically left them out of your comparison, even though they are taking exactly the same position as those Republicans you cited.
You couldn\’t be more transparent, more political, or more sickening if you tried.
