Days ago, I criticized huffingtonpost.com for deciding that news about Donald Trump would no longer be treated as political, but would be relegated to the entertainment section, along with “the Kardashians and The Bachelorette”.
Since then, Trump has personally insulted Senator John McCain – he\’s no hero because he was captured – and Senator Lindsey Graham – calling him a “stiff”, an “idiot” and giving out his personal phone number to the public.
For the record, one look at their biographies should tell you that both John McCain and Lindsey Graham are ten times the man Donald Trump will ever be, no matter how many billions of dollars he has accumulated.
When you add his comments about McCain and Graham to the crude, obnoxious way he talked about Mexican illegals who come to the USA, which overwhelmed his point about Mexican illegals, plus any number of other similarly crude, obnoxious comments he has made about other candidates and other issues, it becomes clear – to me, anyway – that, though I would not have done what huffingtonpost.com did, its decision was very logical and very reasonable.
I therefore apologize to huffingtonpost.com and retract my criticism.
Donald Trump is not a serious candidate for President. He will at some point go away, while telling anyone who will listen that he would have saved us all if we only let him, or words to that effect. Let\’s hope he does so sooner rather than later.
