My current home state (it started in neighboring New York) used to have an advertising slogan for its tourist industry: “New Jersey and you: perfect together).
With that in mind, it is now being reported that Brian Williams, who was suspended as the anchor of NBC Nightly News for serially lying, is being replaced by Lester Holt.
But Williams will not be fired.
Instead, with exactly the same issues of honesty and integrity, he will be used in a news capacity at MSNBC.
Uh….perfect together?
Some jokes write themselves. You can supply the punch line for this one. I\’m sure it will be a knee-slapper.
