THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today\’s quote – with help from Katie Yoder\’s blog at newsbusters.org – comes to us from Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.

Wasserman Schultz, fresh from her offensive, obnoxious, insulting comments about Marco Rubio (which, as I speculated two days ago, were largely ignored by mainstream media) has decided to give us her wit and wisdom on aborting viable babies.

Last week, while campaigning in New Hampshire, Republican presidential hopeful, Senator Rand Paul, was asked to discuss his views on abortion.  One of the things he said was:

“You go back and you ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz if she\’s OK with killing a seven-pound baby that is just not yet born yet.”

That, readers, is not the Quote Of The Day.  It is the Question Of The Day which spawned The Quote Of The Day.

The Quote Of The Day is Debbie Wasserman Schultz\’s answer.

When CNN\’s Wolf Blitzer asked her “[I]s he right when he says that it\’s okay from your perspective to kill a 7-pound baby in uterus, is that your position?”, she said this:

“We have very different definitions of personal liberty.  The Democratic Party\’s position is that we are pro-choice.”

A question for Ms. Wasserman Schultz: how many 7 pound “fetuses” do you figure are not viable?  Any?

In other words, Debbie Wasserman Schultz is so unconditionally committed to a woman\’s right to abort at any point during the pregnancy – even when the baby is clearly viable – that she cannot even mount an objection to aborting – make that killing – a 7 pound child, purely because, as a matter of geography, it has not yet exited to mother\’s womb.  It\’s a matter of “personal liberty” you see.

Does that apply to 7 pound babies outside the womb too, Debbie?

I award Debbie Wasserman Schultz Quote Of The Day “honor” for showing us that, in her mind, bowing down to the “unconditional abortion” crowd is more important to her – and the entire Democrat Party if you believe her – than whether mothers kill their children.

What does that make Debbie Wasserman Schultz?  I don\’t like to use the words in this blog.  Figure them out for yourself.
