The wake of Rafael Ramos is taking place this afternoon. (NOTE: I erroneously blogged that the funeral was today (Friday). The funeral will be held tomorrow. Sorry for my mistake).
My deepest condolences to his family and to the New York Police Department.
May his soul rest in peace.
And may President Obama shoot a below-par round of golf both days in Hawaii, where he will be on the links instead of in New York. (Unless he has been shamed into it since this blog was written, he didn\’t even find the time to record a short video that could have been played.)
A below par round for a below par person.
