THE ROGER STONE SENTENCING STINK

So prosecutors from the Mueller staff – i.e. all Democrats, no Republicans – recommend a 7-9 year prison term for Roger Stone – a Republican political operative who seems to do nothing more or less than other political operatives do…

…President Trump raises holy hell over it, tweeting that:

This is a horrible and very unfair situation. The real crimes were on the other side, as nothing happens to them. Cannot allow this miscarriage of justice!

…and the four prosecutors immediately resign from the case.

Were these resignations based on principle?

Or were they because the prosecutors did not want to have to explain why – according to the defense team – the recommendations are dramatically higher than what sentencing guidelines actually suggest – 15 – 21 months in jail?

There’s no doubt at all that this stinks.  But I’m still unsure of which side the stink lies on (though I have my suspicions).
