Today’s quote comes to us from NBC/MSNBC news reporter Katy Tur.
Miss Tur is upset that the 52 senators who voted to acquit President Trump of the articles of impeachment come from states with 12 million fewer people then the 48 senators who voted to convict and remove him from office.
And what might be done about this? Here is one of Ms. Tur’s thoughts:
“So what’s the resolution to that? Is gerrymandering something that would help improve the situation?
Yes, she actually did say this on air.
Uh….Katy….a point of otder: senate seats are decided by statewide votes. How, exactly, do you gerrymander a state?
I award Katy Tur Quote Of The Day “honors” for managing to make me laugh and grimace at the same time.
Dear miss tor –
The reason that the stupid impeachment articles were ripped up and thrown on the floor of the Capitol is :
48 Senators stir their coffee with their left band
52 Senators use a spoon
(Makes as much sense as any other explanation put forward)
