Today’s quote comes to us from Gloria Allred, the California attorney whose name seems to be front and center for every sexual harassment accusation, real or imagined, about every Republican or entertainment celebrity.
Ms. Allred has a problem: the attorney representing, or at any rate significantly advising the serial sexual harasser, Harvey Weinstein,is none other than Lisa Bloom, Her daughter.
And how has Ms. Allred handled this situation? Here, in her own words, is your answer:
“Had I been asked by Mr. Weinstein to represent him, I would have declined, because I do not represent individuals accused of sex harassment. I only represent those who allege that they are victims of sexual harassment”.
In other words, Allred’s interest isn’t in justice; if it were she would recognize that the accused, as well as the accusers, may be telling the truth. She only represents one side, because – I’m not sure what other conclusion can be drawn – she’s out to “get” people who might be sexual harassers, even if it means unfairly going after people who were not guilty of the harassment.
I award Gloria Allred Quote Of The Day honors for so clearly articulating her full allegiance to the one side of things that has made her a fortune, while giving the other side – and therefore, in this case, her daughter – the back of her hand.
It’s always nice to find out where someone’s loyalties lie.

One day later, Lisa Bloom has resigned her representation of Weinstein.
I guess mommy still does know best.
