Bill O\’Reilly continues to have the most watched cable news show of them all.
And I am finding it more and more difficult to understand why.
He has become so overbearing, he makes it so hard for any guest to finish a sentence let alone a thought, that I find his show borderline unwatchable.
And I can live very happily without his “I\’m just a humble guy” and “I\’m watching out for the folks” routine, which is about as contrived and patronizing as it gets.
Bill O\’Reilly used to provide a very worthwhile hour of debate, and insight into both sides of an issue. Now I find myself tuning in, gritting my teeth for a few minutes, and switching to the Yankee game or Law & Order reruns.
Everyone and everything has a shelf life, I suppose. Too bad Mr. O\’Reilly is so far past his freshness date.
