HOWARD DEAN AND THE “WHITE SUPREMACIST” NRA

Does the National Rifle Association (NRA) bar Black people from becoming members?  Nope.

Are the standards for joining the organization different for Black people than for non-Black people?  Nope.

Are there Black members of the NRA (along with Latino members and Asian members)?  Yep.

So is the NRA a White Supremacist organization?

Yep.  At least according to former Vermont Governor, DNC chairperson, Presidential candidate, and rival of MSNBC’s Chris Matthews to see who can become completely unhinged first, Howard Dean.

Here, for your “enjoyment”, is a transcript  (pulled from Keven Baker’s article at newsbusters.org – complete with his bold print segments) of Dean’s comments, made yesterday, about President Trump, then the NRA, that are so out of touch with reality that even MSNBC’s Kathy Tur had to speak up:

HOWARD DEAN: The right has been out of step with where America is for a long time. Trump doesn’t mind alienating as long as he has his core constituencies. His core constituency is somewhere between 29 and 39 percent. That is not enough to win an election.

KATY TUR: But, Howard you say the right has been out of step, and that was basically conventional wisdom during the election, and Republicans won majorities in both the house and senate. And you’re talking about finding those middle voters that don’t agree with the President in this big swath of the country that doesn’t respect him, doesn’t like him, doesn’t think that he’s is fit for office. there was a big swath that thought all of those things during the election but he still won.

There seems to be a disconnect when I look at this and I hear people say to me on this show, “Don’t worry to those who worry about the presidency that there is enough of the country that we will be able to push back and take him out of office. But the reality is this man has not changed even a little since the election. If there was a majority that would come out and make sure he wasn’t voted in back then, what is — what changes now. What is the difference maker here?

DEAN: A lot of the Trump voters  are not far-righters with guns that want to shoot up the place.

TUR: Well, I don’t think anyone is defining them that way.

DEAN: No, but there certainly are some of them. And the NRA put an appalling ad out there which really, basically made the statement that the NRA was now a white supremacist group. I couldn’t believe the ad I saw.

Let’s take them one by one.

First of all, we have the 29% – 39% claim about Donald Trump, meant to assure the Democrat faithful that Trump has been, and remains unpopular.

Here’s a question for him and for them: SO WHAT?

How many times have we voted for a candidate we didn’t like because we liked the alternative even less?  If that is how Donald Trump won an electoral landslide in 2016, he wasn’t breaking any new ground.  It is meaningless.

Disliked as he may have been – still is – he was preferable to the also-unlikeable, accomplishmentless serial liar, Hillary Clinton.  That is why he, not she, is flying Air Force 1 these days.

Now, what about the supposedly White Supremacist NRA?  And the ad that “proves” it is?

Well, here’s the ad.  Please watch it and then I have a question for you:

Did you watch the ad?  Good.

Now:  can you show me the part that demonstrates White supremacy?  Any of the dialogue that does so?  Even one small piece of i?

Neither can I.

Howard Dean seems to have gone bye-bye.  He is flying toward “what the eff is he talking about” land.

And, based on what you just saw above, it is currently full speed ahead.
