FBI Director James Comey to make statement at 11AM – after Bill Clinton had a half-hour meeting (which he unsuccessfully tried to keep private) with AG Loretta Lynch and after Hillary Clinton suggested that, hey, y’know I just might keep you on as AG if I become President.
Assuming the purpose of this statement is to tell us there is a decision on the Hillary Clinton email scandal…
…either Mr. Comey is the bravest man in DC (I have a tiny little sliver of hope about that) or Ms. Clinton will be given a free pass on behavior that anyone else would have been indicted for a long time ago (by far the most likely outcome).
We’ll see….
UPDATE: The FBI is recommending no prosecution – despite clear evidence of mishandling the information, far more classified information was on the servers than Ms. Clinton said, and there was a clear likelihood that the servers could have been hacked by other nations…Comey feels it was not intentional, thus no charges should be brought.
Make of it what you will.

There has been a LOT of ‘Comey is more honest than the Lone Ranger’ talk in the weeks leading up to this. ‘Nearly two dozen top FBI officials will resign and go public if there is a cover-up’. . . . . . .
We’ll see if this is real, or if it is Memorex.
