A REMINDER ABOUT HILLARY CLINTON AND THE BIG MONEY INTERESTS SHE PROMISES TO FIGHT

Since virtually all mainstream media seem to have “forgotten” how much has been paid to Hillary Clinton by the big money interests she swears she is going to put the wood to if elected President, I thought I’d remind them.  And you.

From Robert Yoon’s February 16th article at CNN.com:

Hillary Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, combined to earn more than $153 million in paid speeches from 2001 until Hillary Clinton launched her presidential campaign last spring, a CNN analysis shows.

In total, the two gave 729 speeches from February 2001 until May, receiving an average payday of $210,795 for each address. The two also reported at least $7.7 million for at least 39 speeches to big banks, including Goldman Sachs and UBS, with Hillary Clinton, the Democratic 2016 front-runner, collecting at least $1.8 million for at least eight speeches to big banks.
What do you figure Hillary (and Hubby Bubba) told those financial giants – not just Goldman Sachs and UBS, but Deutschebank, Sanford Bernstein, and others – that caused them to line up and pay upwards of a quarter of a million dollars a pop?
Do you think they paid that to hear a message that, if elected, she was going after them big time?  That they are a bunch of aggrandizing, money-grubbing jerks?
Tell you what:  just for fun, let’s pretend that is exactly what she did say to them.

So when Bernie Sanders and Republicans attacked her for taking all that money and accused her of being owned by the people who paid it, she must have immediately released the transcripts of her speeches to prove they have it all wrong; that she is a tiger, going up against big money, on behalf of the little folks who buy into her “Fighting For Us” slogan, right?

Well, did she? DID she?

No, she did not. What she did do was concoct a half-assed “I’ll only release them if everyone else does” routine – which is nonsensical on its face.

No other candidate can release the transcripts of their quarter million dollar speeches to Wall Street, because no other candidate made them. And even if they did, what would that have to do with whether Hillary Clinton releases hers?

Basic common sense: if the transcripts in any way proved she was telling the truth, she’d release them no matter which other opponent released what.

The fact that she will not release them tells us that – as usual – she is lying to our faces.  It tells us the transcripts show her kissing up to and reassuring those big money interests, thus putting the lie to what she is claiming. Otherwise we’d have seen them by now.
And the fact that most media have buried this reality on her behalf tells us that – as usual – they willingly forgo their journalistic integrity on her behalf.
Pathetic?  Disgraceful?  Those words don’t even come close.
