Why are we losing the war against radical Islam?

Read this exchange between Chris Matthews and Marie Harf, the little girl Obama trots out as State Department spokesperson to recite her lines just like she was in a school play, and you won\’t wonder:

MATTHEWS: What do we do as Americans when we look at 21 Christiansbeheaded for the purposes of humiliating us, the Christian world, theWestern world? It\’s aimed at us, those pictures . .  Well, howdo we win? How do we stop this? I don\’t see it. I see the militias,the Shia militias coming out of Baghdad; they\’re all Shia. The Sunnishate them. The Sunnis are loyal to ISIS rather than going in with theShia. You\’ve got the Kurds, the Jordian air force and now theEgyptian air force, but I don\’t see — ifI were ISIS, I wouldn\’t be afraid right now. Iwould figure there\’s no existential threat to these people. They cankeep finding places where they can hold executions and putting thecamera work together, getting their props ready and killing peoplefor show and nothingwe do right now seems to be directed at stopping this. 

HARF: We cannot win this war by killing them. We cannot kill our wayout of this war. We need in the longer term–weneed the longer term to go after the rootcausesthat leads people to join these groups.  Whetherit\’s lack of opportunity for jobs —

Even the usually pro-Obama Matthews couldn\’t stomach this.  His incredulous reaction:

MATTHEWS:We\’re not going to be able to stop that in our lifetime. Or 50lifetimes. There\’s always going to be poor people; there\’s alwaysgoing to be poor Muslims, and as long as there\’s poor Muslims thetrumpet\’s blowing and they\’ll join. We can\’t stop that, can we? . . .This sounds like we\’re going to get rid of juvenile delinquency inAmerica over time by erasing poverty and improving education. Sure,over time. But theAmerican people I think are getting humiliated morally by this. Weare seeing these pictures, and what are you supposed to say: I\’mgoing to think about something else? What are the American peoplesupposed to do about this, right now? They\’re watching right now.What do they supposed tp do to stop these indecent killing of people?This burning alive of that good pilot, the whatever they did to theAmerican woman over there, whatever they did, whatever they\’re doingto these people, beheading them, beheading them. Whatare we doing to stop this? It sounds like we can\’t stop it. 

At the beginning of this blog I asked why we are losing the war against radical Islam. And, in answer, we have a sing-song woman-child barfing out non-answers about root causes and lack of job opportunity. 

What the HELL does that have to do with the war we are fighting against murder-crazed lunatics right now, besides nothing?  

Even if we could completely eradicate the “root causes” and provide plenty of good jobs for every ISIS or al qaeda or taliban or hezbollah or hamas jihadist over the next generation (which there is absolutely no chance of happening), how does that address what they are doing today?  Now?

When a radical Islamist murderer joyously beheads people in the name of allah, will the victim be less dead if we only show that we care about his stunted upbringing? 

If Marie Harf\’s barf is the answer from President Obama and his administration – which it is – you now know the reason that we are losing the war against radical Islam.  As we will continue to lose it for at least the next two years, until this woeful, useless administration is history.
