WISHING FOR IT…AND GETTING IT

“Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it”.

Those are the words to an old saying; one which Democrats ignored as they went after Roy Moore on what, with one exception, were decades-old allegations of mostly minor sexual improprieties which cannot possibly be proven or disproven.

The exception:  if Moore groped a 14 year old and put her hand on his genitals, he is a pig and that is an actionable offense.  But there is no way to prove he did so and the woman making these claims has a sordid history which includes making similar claims against other men in the past.   Plus, there are reports that she is lying about her age and was legal when this allegedly happened (have any media actually checked to see if she was truly 14, or is the story too good to take a chance on debunking?)

Other than that one incident, what is there?  Trying to date younger legal-aged women when he was in his 30’s and unmarried?  Groping one woman’s backside one time,  a quarter century ago?

In any event, this is the bar that Democrats have set for sexual harassment.

And now that they’ve done it, now that they have terrified many Republicans into going along with it, what has happened?

Well, we have the Al Franken groping and sexual harassment- two women so far – which, unlike allegations against Moore, are eminently provable.  If Moore should be dumped and shunned for what he did, what should be done with Franken?

And – big tip of my imaginary hat to drudgereport.com – we also have these new stories:

Clinton, Sanders Campaign Workers Allege Sex Harassment…

FL DEM CHAIR OUT AFTER ‘CREEPY’ REPORT…

Ohio Dem Judge: I Bedded 50 ‘Very Attractive’ Females!

Oops.

Well, they got what they wished for…

Look, albeit for very different reasons – his religious intolerance primary among them – I don’t want Roy Moore to be a United States senator any more than Democrats do.

But if they’re going after someone based on allegations of sexual harassment, maybe – to use another old saying – you better check to see if your own house is made of glass.
