Apropos of nothing political…
I just sat down in front of the computer. My wife is in the other room watching a bit more of “Wish I Was Here”, before we drive it back to the redbox at our local Wegman\’s.
The movie was recommended by a former friend (well, she\’s still a friend, but if that status were contingent on her movie recommendations she wouldn\’t be anymore).
We noticed “Wish I Was Here” was available on pay per view for $5.95. But at the Redbox in Wegman\’s, there it was for $1.50. Great deal, or so we thought. Especially because one of its stars is the great Mandy Patinkin. And since, very uncharacteristically, we are home on a Saturday night, we rented it.
But Mandy Patinkin – who sleepwalked through his role by playing it as a reprise of Saul Berenson in “Homeland”, couldn\’t save this stinker. Cary Grant, Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart, Charlie Chaplin, Sabu and Rin Tin Tin combined couldn\’t.
In the immortal words of my late, lamented grandmother: “Feh”.
Ok, so much for our movie debacle. Now, back to politics – where “Feh” describes just about everyone.
