I did not watch either political convention straight through.
As such, I did not realize something that was just brought to my attention: in four days of Democrats rhapsodizing over Hillary Clinton, there was not one word about The Clinton Foundation.
Why would that be? Why would Ms. Clinton’s deep involvement in the charitable organization which bears her name, which, we are told, does such an extensive amount of good works, not be referenced at all by her adoring party?
Well, one reason might be the real facts about this “foundation” – such as that, from 2009 to 2012, it provided a minuscule 15% in charitable grants. In 2013, that dropped to about 10%.
Then where does the money go?
Here’s part of your answer, from a New York Post article of April 26, 2015…a key part of which is posted below:
On its 2013 tax forms, the most recent available, the foundation claimed it spent $30 million on payroll and employee benefits; $8.7 million in rent and office expenses; $9.2 million on “conferences, conventions and meetings”; $8 million on fundraising; and nearly $8.5 million on travel. None of the Clintons is on the payroll, but they do enjoy first-class flights paid for by the foundation.
And how does it operate? Well, here’s just one example, from my blog of May 31, 2015.
As you might expect, several of the “fact check” web sites – which, in reality, are propaganda venues dedicated to protecting all things Democrat, especially the Clintons – have tried to somehow gloss over these facts. But they remain just as factual anyway.
You can read all about one of them here – where a so-called “fact check’ web site which tried to do so is literally taken apart and put back together again.
And if you use the above link, you will also read that, even within the piddling amount of charitable grants squeezed out of the Clinton Foundation…
the two single largest “charitable” initiatives of the Clinton Foundation — by its own admission — are the Clinton Presidential Library, which exists solely to put a positive spin on the 42nd president’s term in office, and the Clinton Global Initiative, which the New York Times characterized as a “glitzy annual gathering of chief executives, heads of state, and celebrities.”
Then we have yesterday’s editorial in the New York Post, excerpted below:
The silence is hardly mystifying — for the Clinton Foundation carries heavy baggage.
Starting with the FBI’s investigation into whether any “intersection” between the foundation and the work of Secretary of State Clinton violated anti-corruption laws.
Like her role in handing Russia exclusive mining rights to 20 percent of US uranium reserves via a company that donated millions to the foundation. (You thought Donald Trump was Vladimir Putin’s best friend?)
Or the tens of millions donated by the same Middle Eastern nations — Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait — that Hillary has publicly denounced for supporting terrorism (not to mention criminalizing gay sex).
And the Clintons certainly didn’t want to remind voters that the foundation had to amend four years of tax filings to finally come clean about $20 million in foreign donations it took during Hillary’s tenure.
The title of this blog asks why The Clinton Foundation was unmentioned throughout the entire Democrat convention. I’d say that question is now answered.
The fraudulence, the corruption of the Clintons is breathtaking in its scope. But no more so than the degree to which most mainstream media, which certainly had as much access to this information as I or anyone else did, proactively avoids virtually all coverage of it.
Queen Hillary will not be denied. Not by her loyal subjects.
