Here is HBO “Real Time” host Bill Maher’s explanation for why, having been nominated 33 times, he has never won and Emmy, and does not expect that he ever will:
“Because I speak freely. And this woke town fucking hates that.”
In other words, his talents and successes are irrelevant, because he is not in lock-step with the way the woke folk in Hollywood want him to speak/think, so he must be punished. That’ll teach him. And that’ll keep the rest of ’em in line.
The man has a point.
