The Comey firing is over and done with. Or so it should be. But there is a problem.
The problem’s name is Donald Trump.
Yeah, mainstream media are going nuts over the firing. But, as shown by the chart I posted earlier today, most citizens couldn’t care less. The economy, public safety border security are about 1,000 times higher on the food chain that James Comey.
But Donald Trump, paper-thin skin and sky-high ego in full fettle, keeps tweeting about it, using increasingly strident rhetoric…
…including the newest comment which suggests that there might be tapes of the conversations he and Comey had.
Does this man WANT there to be comparisons between him and Nixon/Watergate? Because if that’s what he did want, this is precisely what he would be doing.
When does Donald Trump learn that pumping out these kinds of tweets not only keeps Comey on the front burner. bit risks making his firing into something far beyond what it would have been if he had, just this once, shut the hell up.
What does it take to teach this man restraint?
What is wrong with him?
