WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM THE CROOKSANDLIARS.COM CROWD

I have not posted a comment at crooksandliars.com in months.

But having read Susie Madrak\’s irate, profane complaint about how Republicans were helped along by MSNBC – that\’s right, MSNBC, as in Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, Chris Hayes, Lawrence O\’Donnell, etc.  – I couldn\’t resist.

My post was as follows:

“MSNBC being condemned as a tool of the Republican Party may be the single funniest thing I\’ve ever seen in here.”

Not surprisingly, the commenters are almost all in agreement.

But I\’m waiting for the inevitable replies to my specific comment…and possibly will update this blog by putting up one or two.

This could be interesting…..

UPDATE:  Surprisingly, no angry replies so far. Just one commenter asking “How so?”. which I am not answering, on the grounds that anyone who would not intuitively understand why accusing MSNBC of pro-Republican bias is funny, would not understand an explanation either.

FURTHER UPDATE:  Here is my favorite comment from the dozens that have been posted on this subject.  In reading it, please try to remember that “rockerbabe” (the commenter\’s screen name) apparently thinks she is opposed to racism:

Just a bunch of old white guys with bad, disrespectful attitudes on TV, cable and satelite. Even PBS can\’t seem to get away from the white guy fest;just look at the old cogers on McLaughlin and Charlie Rose, not to mention the News Hours. And Faux news with those ignorant women and even more outrageous white guys who refuse to understand anything other than their own opinion. It is sickening. It is no wonder that nothing changes in our government or general society, which is a shame given all of the problems our society if facing. All of this gle vr President Obama\’s “leadership” is just code for their racism and sexism.  (NOTE:  I don\’t know what gle vr is either.)

Did you happen to notice that, throughout the above comment, not one person is just a person.  Everyone, without exception, is defined by color and/or gender and/or age?

Regular readers have seen this comment from me numbers of times before.  But, sad to say, it continues to be just as relevant:  “The straightest line to prejudice, intolerance and hatred is seeing people as components of groups instead of as the individuals every one of us is”.

This is one “babe” who obviously has not yet figured that out.
