WASHINGTON, D.C. – This evening, all 51 Senate Democrats voted to block a $14.3 billion aid package for Israel. Senate Republicans, led by Senators Roger Marshall (R-KS), JD Vance (R-OH), and others, made a motion to proceed to the House-passed Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act. By voting to table Senate Republicans’ motion, Senate Democrats have again decided to block urgent aid to Israel. Senate Democrats instead prefer to use widespread public support for an Israeli aid package as political cover to advance tens of billions of dollars in additional funding for Ukraine.
“Senate Democrats are obsessed with funding Ukraine,” said Senator Vance. “Tonight’s vote shows they’ll hold up anything, block anything, and fight against anything if it means reducing their leverage for more Ukraine aid. We should support our Israeli friends. Not use their tragedy as a political bargaining chip.”
- Senate Democrats have repeatedly blocked unanimous consent requests for passage of a standalone Israel aid package, first last week and again this morning.
- Because this evening’s floor action included a full roll call vote, it differs from the aforementioned unanimous content requests. Every senator’s position is now a matter of public record.

The Biden administration has extended a sanctions waiver that will grant Iran access to roughly $10 billion from Iraq in exchange for electricity purchases.
The 120-day waiver, signed by Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday, is identical to one issued in July, but comes amid increased attacks against US forces by Iranian proxies and just over a month after Iran-backed terror group Hamas slaughtered 1,200 people in Israel on Oct. 7.
Under the conditions of the waiver, Iran will receive nearly $10 billion being held in escrow accounts in Iraq that may only be used for humanitarian trade, US officials told the Associated Press.
Got that? 100% Democrat rejection of a stand-alone aid package to Israel during a war for its survival – including Chuck “I am the highest ranking Jew in the country” Schumer….
….and the President of the United States giving Iran access to $10 billion dollars – which, we are told “may only be used for humanitarian trade” – but, in reality, releases $10 billion dollars that Iran would have spent on those electricity purchases in the absence of this waiver, but can now be used for anything Iran wants. Like arming and training hamas and hezbollah, for example.
Knowing this, do you still believe that Democrats, as a party are pro-Israel? Do you still believe that Joe Biden, who at least started out by paying lip service to his undying support for Israel is really following through?
If so, I have to wonder if there is something wrong with you.
