TRUMP’S IOWA WIN: WHAT IT MEANS/WHERE IT LEADS

Donald Trump has won the Iowa caucuses in a romp, with 51% of the total, to 21% for Ron DeSantis and 19% for Nikki Haley.

New Hampshire promises to give Trump another win, though it looks like a) he will get less than 50% of the vote and b) Haley will finish strongly in second, with DeSantis far behind.

After that, who knows?  But, then again, what difference will it make.  Republicans seem pretty determined to make Trump their nominee….

….and Democrats seem equally determined to use every “lawfare” strategy they can to keep him from winning the election and/or keep him from being on all states’ ballots, and/or maybe putting him in jail altogether.

At the very least, if Trump does not drop out he will spend massive amounts of time fighting the charges against him instead of campaigning.

In short, this is what Democrats are hoping for.  It’s their dream come true.  Their only chance.  Joe Biden, a man who is incapable of putting together coherent english sentences, let alone capably traversing a presidential campaign…but who is runningn against an opponent whose campaign has been so disfigured, debilitated and legally mutilated that he might win anyway.

The big losers?  We the people.
