President Trump gave Iran 60 days to seriously negotiate.
Iran, probably assuming that, like previous presidents, Trump didn’t mean what he said, ignored this deadline.
Trump meant what he said.
Now, if initial reports are to be believed, Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility is gone – completely destroyed – along with two other nuclear sites: Natanz, and Esfahan.
This mean’s Iran’s nuclear threat, for the immediate and near future, does not exist…
which therefore means the regime that promoted, trained and funded terrorist groups around the world, has lied about its creation of nuclear weapons for years and years and sends its people into the streets to proclaim “Death to Israel!” Death to America”!, cannot launch a nuclear weapon to try and accomplish either of these stated goals.
And at least some Democrats are outraged.
alexandria ocasio-cortez, for example, is calling for President Trump to be impeached because he took out this nuclear threat. ‘
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries attacked Trump for promising to bring peace to the Middle East and failing to deliver. Removing nuclear capability from the world’s single greatest terrorist threat, you see, is a failure to bring peace.
And here is Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s statement (that’s right; Chuck Schumer. Israel’s supposed defender…except if Trump takes action in its defense):
Instead of hailing the destruction of Iran’s nuclear capability, Schumer – now nothing more than a ridiculous partisan hack – puts out a political attack instead.
