TIME MAGAZINE: ELEVATING GRAHAM PLATNER

graham platner, the Democrat candidate for Senator from Maine, is a subterranean scumbag in just about every way possible…

…but a breath of fresh air for Democrats, if you have the stomach to read Julia Terruso’s article for Time Magazine.

Here, as reported by Tim Graham at newsbusters.org, is a key passage:

Platner, 41, is a newcomer carrying enough baggage to sink an oyster boat: a Nazi tattoo, a DUI from a post-military period of heavy drinking, and a trove of Reddit posts that spewed hostility in almost every direction. Working-class candidates are having a moment—but surely, many Democrats lament, the party could have found one who hadn’t, for example, defended peeing on dead Taliban fighters, or joked about the Virgin Mary being a “skank.”

Voters gravitated toward Platner anyway. After decades of nominating buttoned-up technocrats with glittering résumés, many Democrats want candidates with flaws, faded ink, and redemption arcs that resemble their own. Platner’s past, in other words, may actually be his path. “Platner’s rise fits a moment where many Democrats feel the traditional playbook hasn’t worked, either politically or personally,” says admaker Jim Margolis, who advised Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns. “Democrats are willing to bet on someone who may have a few warts but feels fresh, unscripted, and tuned in. His ‘difference’ may well be his secret sauce.”

Did Time Magazine really publish that?

Did Time Magazine, via Julia Terruso, really suggest that “many Democrats” want candidates with flaws, faded ink and redemption arcs that resemble their own” – which, based on what you just read, means they have shown nazi sympathies, drink too much, spew hostility, defend peeing on dead Taliban fighters and joke about the Virgin Mary being a “skank?

Is this supposed to show that graham platner’s past elevates his salability level with Democrat voters?  Evidently it is.

And the scariest part?  How many of today’s Democrat voters she may be right about; how many of today’s Democrat voters see what this sack of manure believes/has written/has said as some kind of positive; as a reason to support him.

You know that expression “you can’t make this stuff up”?  In my opinion it was invented for an article like this. ..and, if Ms. Terruso is correct, how many Democrat voters it accurately defines.
