I found this video on Larry O’Connor’s blog at hotair.com.
Barack Obama ignored what is on it.
The rest is history:
You may have supported the war in Iraq, or opposed it.
But, regardless of what you thought of the war, the circumstances Barack Obama inherited in 2009 were what they were. And Mr. Obama had the option of either heeding or ignoring the advice Mr. Bush offered – advice which was offered in 2007 – well before either candidate was selected and long before the campaign iteself took place.
Knowing how correct Mr. Bush turned out to be, it seems self-evident that whomever eventually won the election, Senator Obama or Senator McCain, should have listened to those words and taken them to heart.
Mr. Obama won, and ignored them.
But now, after 8 years of unrelentingly disastrous foreign policy failures, he is offering advice – not neutrally, before he knew who was running, but after the election to the incoming President.
What should we make of this? I’ll leave that to you to decide; I suspect you know my opinion already.
