The United States has struck ISIS targets in Nigeria – ISIS being those nice folks who have systematically been killing Christians throughout the country.
My first reaction was, “What’s going on here? We’re already aggressing against Venezuela, but I can rationalize that because Venezuela is transporting deadly drugs to the United States. But Nigeria?”.
Then I read that the Government of Nigeria not only was on board with these attacks but actively coordinated with the United States on them. So this was not a unilateral action against horrible, murderous religious fanatics, it was a coodinated effort with a country that needed our help.
So I feel a lot better about our involvement now. I hope you do too.
