Judge juan merchan (the “judge” who contributed to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign and whose daughter made a fortune on anti-Trump activity, but didn’t recuse himself) has rendered his sentence on the so-called “hush money” conviction of President-elect Donald Trump.
No jail time, no fine, no punishment of any kind. Just the designation of Trump as a convicted felon.
Given that the charges themselves were based on an unprecedented contortion of state and federal law that has never been conceived of, let alone tried, in history, I have no doubt this farce will be appealed and virtually no doubt it will be overturned.
I don’t have the words. Pathetic doesn’t even come close.
