The Fulton County (Atlanta, Georgia) District Attorney’s indictments against Donald Trump are now public – for the second time. (Incredibly, they were put up yesterday, BEFORE the grand jury met and voted on them. But then they were quickly taken down, presumably because even Democrats might have noticed the fraudulence inherent in putting up charges in advance, on the assumption that the fix was in):
- Violation Of The Georgia RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act)
- Solicitation of Violation of Oath by Public Officer
- Conspiracy To Commit Impersonating a Public Officer
- Conspiracy To Commit Forgery in the First Degree
- Conspiracy To Commit False Statements and Writings
- Conspiracy To Commit Filing False Documents

And what is the genesis of these charges? It is that Donald Trump vocally stated his belief that he won Georgia’s electoral votes – that there were major improprieties in the vote counting – and that his people find enough of the votes to give him the state.
Trump did NOT say they should invent the votes. He said that the votes were there and they should be found and counted.
Are you waiting for more? If so, forget it. Trump’s belief that there were more than enough votes to give him Georgia and that enough of them should be found for that to happen is the beginning, middle and end of this farce.
But if that isn’t enough to turn your stomach, let’s remember that these charges were not made after the election when he said those things. They have been made now – two and half years later – with trials timed to coincide with the primary season.
Anyone who believes this is anything but a political hit job by Democrat operatives, intended to directly affect our presidential election, is an idiot.
And any non-idiot who is OK with this, is someone whose political partisanship justifies destroying the opposition, with no concern about devolving the United States to third-world country status in the process.
I wonder what these people will say when/if Republicans gain control and, the market having been set by their actions, do the same to Democrats?
Will they whine that “you said it was wrong but you’re doing it too” – i.e. “we can do it at will but you can’t, there are two sets of rules”?
You can bet that’s exactly what they’ll whine.
And when it happens, my reaction (along with, I’m sure, countless millions of others who are as sick about this as I am) will be….. “Boo hoo hoo; here’s a crying towel for you”.
