Oh, wow. What a surprise. There are “problems” in Hartford, Connecticut, and the Democrats are heading to court to make sure the polls stay open extra time tonight.
From Christine Stewart\’s article at ctnewsjunkie.com:
DemocraticGov. Dannel P. Malloy\’s campaign filedan Election Day lawsuit Tuesday to ask a judge to extend votinghours in Hartford to accommodate voters who may have been turned awayfrom the polls this morning. And news apparently travels fast.President Barack Obama, who was apparently made aware of the problemsat the polls in Hartford early today, called in to WNPR\’s ColinMcEnroe Show to urge people to get back out to vote if they wereturned away this morning.
Somepolling places in Hartford opened at 6 a.m. without a voter list.State Rep. Matt Ritter, D-Hartford, said that he was told by Garey E.Coleman, the Democratic Deputy registrar of voters, that theequipment the registrars\’ office uses to print its voter listsfailed Monday night and there was no backup available.
It\’snot clear at the moment how long it takes to print voter lists forall of the city\’s precincts with a working printer, but once theywere printed, the lists had to be transported from City Hall to allthe polling places. Ritter said he did not believe the problem wascitywide, but likely impacted five to 10 of the city\’s 24 pollingplaces.
You might ask yourself “How could they possibly not have the lists earlier? Didn\’t they know there was an election today? And what a coincidence that the printing equipment failed right at that moment. Must have been an honest mistake, of course”.
Or you might also ask yourself “Gee, if the lists magically didn\’t materialize, there would be grounds for keeping voting sites in heavily Democrat areas open extra time – during the evening, when more voters would likely be available. What an obvious set-up”.
Which one resonates more with you? If it is the first, please signify by saying “I am either the most gullible person in the world, or I am a Democrat partisan who remembers that this is the same kind of BS they pulled in Bridgeport – another Democrat stronghold – in the 2010 election, which copped Malloy his first term as Governor, and maybe it will work again this time.”
Personally, I live in central New Jersey. And the stench from Hartford is so bad I can smell it here.
