THE REAL REASON SOME GAZANS ARE STARVING

It’s Israel, right?  I mean, those heartless coldblooded Jews are starving those poor, innocent Gazans.  They’re not letting any food or other supplies in!  Genocide!!! Genocide!!!

Except…

…it may just have something to do with this, as noted in Caitlin Doornbos’s article for the New York Post:

Thousands of pallets of humanitarian aid stacked at the Gaza border — from sacks of flour to blankets and canned food — are awaiting delivery by relief organizations that are unwilling to send supply trucks likely to be looted by Hamas terrorists and other street criminals.

The aid, coming in on trucks from Jordan, Egypt and the West Bank, has already been inspected by the Israel Defense Forces before entering Gaza, where the international community and humanitarian organizations are in charge of delivering the assistance to Palestinians.

But the path from the Israel-Gaza border to where the aid is needed in the central and north is long — and repeatedly targeted by violent thieves.

At least one driver is shot each day in Gaza by looters forcibly stopping aid trucks to pull off whatever they can to make a profit in the middle of the devastated war zone, an IDF spokesperson told The Post.

At least 1,100 trucks have gone into Gaza in December, IDF head of coordination and liaison administration for Gaza Col. Abdullah Halabi said, but it’s unclear how many made it to their final destinations.

The article continues, but I think you get the idea.

Hey, here’s a thought:  maybe none of those aid trucks would have been necessary if hamas – which has been the unelected ruling entity in Gaza since 2007 (Elections?  What elections?) attacked a civilian dance festival in North Israel, killed 1,200 – 1,400 people, took 250 or so hostage, gloatingly bragged on TV that they intended to do it “again and again”…

…and, if you believe the numerous reports from both Arab and non-Arab sources (I do), did so with the solid support of the Gazan people.

If that massacre had not taken place, aid trucks wouldn’t be necessary, thus wouldn’t be lining up at the border, with their drivers far more scared of being in Gaza than they were of being in Israel.

Watching this horrific situation play out, I can’t help remembering that famous quote from the former Milwaukee school teacher who became Prime Minister of Israel, Golda Meir:  “There will be peace when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us”.

As children and adults both starve in Gaza at the hands of its “leadership” and supportive population, I guess that still goes.
