THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from Sunny Hostin, one of the regulars on ABC’s daytime inanity-fest, The View.

This is what the brilliant, insightful Ms. Hostin had to say about Rudy Giuliani’s suggestion that, after a year of huffing and puffing, the mueller “investigation” has not gotten anywhere and should be wrapped up:

He is just lying. I mean, you can’t collude and get information from the Russians and the Germans. I mean, that’s treason. I just — he just keeps on lying and lying and as an attorney, I’m listening to the lies and I’m, like, what are you talking about?

He is saying, this is a witch hunt, and it’s caught a lot of witches and warlocks. There’s been 75 charges already, 22 people have been indicted so, the suggestion somehow that the Mueller investigation isn’t finding anything is nonsense, and I’m so tired, Whoopi, of people saying, collusion, collusion, collusion. Collusion is not a crime, everyone. There’s no enumerated crime for collusion, but the crimes are obstruction of justice and treason, and conspiracy, they’re all out there. I have got to tell you when you have 75 criminal charges filed already, you can’t say that this is a big nothingburger. It’s just not right.

Where to start…..

Ok, in order of appearance:

-Giuliani is not lying, he is stating an opinion.

-There remains absolutely no proof that President Trump colluded with anyone;

-Collusion, if it occurred, is not treason.  In fact, I challenge Ms. Hostin or anyone else to show me where it is even a crime.  Would you please state the law it breaks?  I’ll wait;

-The lying and lying?  refer to my first point.

-Charging and indicting people is not the same thing as finding them guilty.  Most of the indicted people are Russian nationals who would never even show up in a court room to be tried.  And NOT ONE of the charges or indictments has a thing to do with the 2016 presidential campaign, which is what mueller is supposed to be investigating;

-Nice of you to mention collusion isn’t a crime, after calling it treason just a few sentences ago;

-In the year of this “investigation”, has anyone been convicted of obstruction of justice, or treason or conspiracy?  Mind telling us who?

-You can file 75 million charges.  And if no one is convicted of anything, yes it is a nothingburger.

But, other than that, Ms. Hostin was right on target.

Needless to say, however, the audience – consisting of the show’s fans – cheered Hostin’s comments.  What else would anyone expect fans to do?  Sheeple will be sheeple.

I award Sunny Hostin Quote Of The Day “honors” for, despite her first name, demonstrating that her brain, such as it is, has been so affected by Trump hatred that is either has become completely cloudy and filled with, er sleet, or is suffering from an extremely occluded front.

Maybe both.
