Today’s quote comes to us from Alan Dershowitz, the eminent Harvard Law Professor who retains his integrity – thus is sickened by the attempted overthrow of an elected government we are watching before our eyes.
Here is Mr. Dershowitz’s comment about how one supposed rights organization would act if a raid on the offices, home, and hotel room (while his home is being renovated) of Donald Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, had a different political party involved:
“If this were Hillary Clinton being investigated and they went into her lawyer’s office, the ACLU would be on every television station in America jumping up and down.”
FYI: the ACLU has put out a statement supporting the raid. Evidently – and not surprisingly – its hatred of Donald Trump supersedes its supposed commitment to individual rights and lawyer/client privilege.
I award Alan Dershowitz Quote Of The Day honors for being honest enough to say as much…and, thereby, almost certainly becoming a hated figure among precisely the same people and groups who would have celebrated his statement if the political parties were reversed.
