Today’s quote comes to us from Dan Rather.
Remember him? He was the former CBS Anchor who lost his job because he “reported” a bunch of evidence-less, clearly phony “news” about then-President George Bush’s service in the National Guard just before the 2004 election – and CBS was force to get rid of him for it.
So what does he have to say these days? Here is Rather’s latest broadside – aimed at the Sinclair Broadcast Group, for daring to have a number of its anchors read a wholly non-partisan statement promising honest rather than “fake” news.
“Let’s be clear, news anchors looking into [the] camera and reading a script handed down by a corporate overlord, a script meant to obscure the truth not elucidate it, isn’t journalism. It’s propaganda. It’s Orwellian. And it is on a slippery slope towards some of history’s most destructive forces. These are the means by which despots wrest power, silence dissent, and oppress the masses.”
Dan Rather wins Quote Of The Day “Honors” for……
hahahahahhahahaha…sorry, you figure it out. I’m laughing too hard about the stupidity of that statement and the fact that Dan Rather was the one making it, to continue.

Fake, but Accurate
